When taking new staff you automatically interview them and ask for references from previous employers to enable you to assess if they are the right candidate for the job. Many companies forget that candidates have a medical past and that defining a baseline when a new employee joins your company can be helpful.

Also in order to comply with the disability element of the Equality Act 2010 employers cannot discriminate against individuals, even at the shortlisting and interview stages of employment. Including a confidential pre-placement medical assessment in your recruitment process is a relatively inexpensive way of discharging your responsibilities in the Act, demonstrating your commitment to your employees health in the workplace, and also have clear recommendations about any suitable adjustments that should be made at the point of employment.

Elements of service:

  • Issuing a confidential pre-placement questionnaire for completion and return by the applicant
  • Assessment of the returned questionnaire by one of our Occupational Health practitioners and report prepared for client
  • Assessment by one of our Occupational Health clinicians for those identified as having medical issues.
  • Clear indication of an employee’s fitness for work and any restrictions/adjustments that may support them in their new workplace.

Time & Price:   Variable dependant on the programme required by the client
